Reflection Post on Mission #4 Complimenting Is No Crime

As some of you may have noticed, we carried out our 4th mission on monday with the theme of complimenting a stranger.

We went to places like lawn and south entrance to give out little sweet notes to people whom we do not know. This mission was plan with the motive to improve the relationship between people and also, to let youths be more open minded with what they want to say.

Notes like,"pass this note to someone who you think is beautiful ' and 'pass this note to someone who you want to have a game match with ' was passed around.

In this mission, we faced a huge challenge as people were not open to this kind of event as some of them were too shy. Thus, we did not manage to pass the note to many people. However, we did give some of the post it notes out eventually and here are some of the photos taken that day.

Although the outcome was not as successful as we planned for it to be, it was a fun mission to carry out! See you guys in our next mission and look out for our video tomorrow!!

Reflection Post on Mission #2 Raising Awareness for World Aids Day

Hello everyone!!

This will be our reflection post for mission #2, to create awareness for World Aids Day in Republic Polytechnic!!

For this mission, we gave out 200 yellow cards that have different notes on them about World Aids Day, and we also pasted red ribbon on the cards! (For people who have received our cards, be thankful because we spent a lot of time and effort making those ribbons! )

We had a great time giving out these cards at South canteen and South Agora. Curious as to what we were doing, many people asked question like, “So do you all support Aids?” and our answer was… "No, we do not support Aids but we feel that we should not shun away people with Aids, everyone deserves to be treated equally!"

Back to our mission, in no time, all the cards were given out and we called it a day! Look out for us in our next mission and feel free to leave a comment if you want to be a part of us!!

Remember to keep coming back for our updates!!

Are you Aware?

Hey to all you readers!
Today, Project Zero to Hero would like you to celebrate World Aids Day with us. Do wear that red ribbon if you are going out and tell you friends about it!
We also made a short video starring our friends so do check it out.
We hope that on our latest mission on Friday, we were able to spread more awareness around the school.
If you have received that note and you are reading this post right now do tweet us!

We have more in store for you readers as we will be writing up our mission report soon for last Friday's event! So stay tuned!

Till our next post;
Cheers

Facts about The Red Ribbon
The red ribbon, as an awareness ribbon colored red, has several different meanings in different contexts. It is used as the symbol of the prevention of drunk driving and solidarity of people living with HIV/AIDS.[1]

Think about it. Know more about it.

Coming to you this Friday would be Project Zero to Hero’s second mission!

For our second mission, it is on a topic that is not often talked about among us teenagers.
HIV/AIDS, we have all heard of the name before but do you really understand what it is and why you should be more aware of it?

As much as we love to put a smile on your face, we also want you to be aware of the happenings around you. They say ignorance is bliss but not in this case.

1st December 2013 will be the World Aids Day.
So look out for us on the 29th of November as we will be going around RP to bring more awareness on this topic.

Also, follow our Twitter (@prjctzerotohero
and like our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/prjctzerotohero) as we will be putting up videos and articles relating to HIV/AIDS.

Let us all be aware and treat other with care.

Reflection Post on Mission #1 Good Morning RP

Hello fellow RPians!!

As some of you have known, we carried out our first mission last Friday, with a theme “Good Morning RP!”

We went to greet fellow RP-ians good morning with a smile and wrote short quotes to brighten up their day.

The objectivity of this event was to get rid of their mundane mornings and replace it with a smile on their faces

Our first mission took two days of careful planning before we executed it. Our challenge was, where to position ourselves. We eventually decided to position ourselves right outside RP’s main entrance and give post it notes to the students to wish them a good day ahead.

We successfully gave out post-it notes in a short time yet most of the students we gave the notes to, were not responsive to our mission. Many were too absorbed with their smartphones or were too shy when we approach them with the little notes. We also noticed that there was little interaction among students when they arrived in school together.

Although the outcome was not as responsive as we thought it would be, we hope to spread more word about our blog in our next mission! So keep smiling and look out for us this Friday!

Something's Brewing...

Did you wake up this morning feeling tired and moody, reluctant to go to school?
That cleaner aunty gave you the stink eye for not clearing up food which is not yours?
Wish that someone cared a little for events like Christmas and Valentine’s?
Watch this space as we do little things that will make an impact on your everyday routine.
A little hint for you:
Keep smiling. You will never know when we will see you.
